One of our most popular tours at North Shore Surf Girls are the sunset barbecue surfing tours and the fire knife dancing tour held at Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. We are the only surf camp on the North Shore that offers this unique view into ancient Hawaiian customs and lore.
The tour starts out with either surfing lessons or bodyboarding lessons at any of the area breaks with one of our qualified instructors. Following the surf/bodyboard lesson you and our staff head out to enjoy a beautiful sunset barbecue at the picturesque Waimea Bay, home of some of the biggest waves in the world! There is a big bonfire prepared and the barbecue food is made up of Hawaiian favorites. During this celebration the staff and customers will be joined by local Hawaiians who will "talk story" and share their experiences while giving their family's history on the North Shore. As well, the customers will be accompanied by a ukulele player to round out the evening.
